We design Wordpress themes very often and each of them has quite a few standard elements. Because of that, we decided to make a PSD framework for Photoshop that would include these common elements.

wordpress_psd_framework.gif

We use it as a starting point every time we start to work on a mockup for a new Wordpress theme. Since it’s quite a time saver for us, we thought that somebody else would probably find it useful too. You can download it for free using the URL below:

We hope that it would save you some time. You can use it for making design mockups for other blog engines too.

Have fun! :)

- the sidebars are widget ready

- it’s cross-browser tested in all major browsers (IE 6 and 7, Firefox, Opera and Safari)

New update for Sakura Wordpress theme (version 1.1)

We fixed some bugs that were noticed in the previous version:

- Fixed images so that they are shown properly in MacOS X (see screenshot to see an obvious bug in previous version).

- Added more space to the bottom of each post to be able to show more categories there (more than max. 3 or 4 possible in previous version).

- Adapted the header so that you could add your photos/images there. It is now more “bulletproof” and images that you eventualy add there will be shown properly.

- This screenshot shows you how to change content in the header (put your own text and/or images).

If you notice some problems with this theme, please let us know so that we can fix them.
